Selective pallet racking is a heavy-duty industrial storage system where every pallet is stored in its own individual position with direct aisle access. Unlike high-density systems such as drive-in racking, no pallet has to be moved to reach another.
How high can pallet racking be built?
Standard selective pallet racking can be built up to 8 to 11 metres high, accommodating three to seven beam levels depending on your pallet height and ceiling clearance. Taller configurations are possible with the right design.
What load capacity does pallet racking have?
Load capacity depends on the upright frame size, beam depth and bay configuration. Spode's selective racking systems carry up to 3890 kg per beam level in standard configurations.
What is the difference between selective and drive-in racking?
Selective racking gives 100% access to every pallet, and suits warehouses carrying many lines. Drive-in stores pallets in deep lanes with one access point: higher density, but last-in-first-out rotation. Selective suits most warehouses. Drive-in suits cold stores and a few high-volume lines.
What forklift types work with selective pallet racking?
